About Sawgrass Roasting Company
I'm a third-generation Floridian who has spent years living and working in communities along Florida’s east coast, from Daytona Beach to Jacksonville. Florida isn’t just where I’m from, it’s part of how I see the world. Like many great adventures, roasting coffee began with curiosity. What started as a simple desire to make better coffee quickly became an obsession. After countless roasts, experiments, and more cups of coffee than I can reasonably justify, I finally brewed something that stood apart: coffee with character, depth, and a flavor that lingered long after the last sip. I shared it with friends, family, and coworkers, and their reaction told me I wasn’t the only one who noticed the difference. Almost a year later, that curiosity has grown into Sawgrass Roasting Company. We’re a small-batch, single-origin roastery built on three simple things: a genuine love of great coffee, a deep appreciation for our home state, and the belief that people matter more than any business plan. Every roast is crafted with care in small enough batches that you can truly taste the difference. But coffee is only half of what we're sharing.
The other half is Florida itself. Not the postcard version, but the real one. The sawgrass prairies and blackwater rivers. The hidden gems tucked along backroads. The small towns, local legends, and fascinating stories that often go unnoticed. We named our company after sawgrass because it represents so much of what we admire: resilience, character, and a quiet presence woven throughout the state. We hope to embody those same qualities of being rooted, authentic, and always pointing people toward something worth discovering. As we grow, you can expect more than coffee from us. Expect stories. Expect the kind of Florida facts that make you stop and say, “Wait, really?” Expect a company that treats every customer like a neighbor, because that’s how we believe business should be done. We’re still early in this journey, and we’re proud of that. Every batch teaches us something new, and every bag is an invitation to slow down, enjoy something crafted with care, and discover a little more about the place we call home. Thanks for being here. We’re glad you found us, and we’re honored to share a cup with you.
